The date on my Rolfing certificate reads December 22, 1978. Happy
birthday to my classmates Tony Zimkowski, Michael Maskornick, Hans
Flurry, Gene Sage and Dan Cohen.
I wrote an article called What I've Learned in 30 Years of Rolfing®
that I'd be glad to email as a .pdf (12 pages, 4800 words). Contact

I heard a story that someone asked Dr. Rolf what she was most proud
of in her many accomplishments. I'm told that she teared up a
little (a rare occurrence for our Founder) as she said, "I'm glad I
gave people a way to make a living."
I'm glad too because from the time I was a small child, I looked out
at the world at what people were doing and I knew early on that I
didn't want to do any of that. From very young, I knew that if I
were to find right livelihood, it would be something that hadn't
been invented yet or something I hadn't yet heard of. I found
Rolfing (or it found me) in 1973 when I was 25. So my study of it
really began 36 years ago.
I consider that to make me the luckiest guy I know.
Thank you Dr. Rolf, wherever you are.
Sincerely,
Ritchie Mintz
