Rolf Audio Files   Message List

Dear Colleagues,
The Guild for Structural Integration is happy to provide two audio files (mp3
format)
of Dr. Rolf's lectures. These lectures can be downloaded at:

http://www.rolfguild.org/audio.html

The material consists of:

Big Sur Hotsprings 1966 This file is approximately 6.1 MB and lasts about 35
minutes. It is a presentation to the Esalen community which was done prior to
IPR
commencing trainings there. As such it is a record of SI as Rolf originally
conceived it
and (coupled with the second file) is an excellent introduction to basic theory.

Pidgeon Key Training 1971 This file is approximately 6.1 MB and lasts about 35
minutes. This tape begins with an interaction between Dr. Rolf and one of the
students who she asks to explain the basis of the work to a visiting doctor. We
often
use this file as an introductory piece for our classes. It is noteworthy that
Dr. Rolf lists
three premises (or principles) on which SI is built, segmentation of the body,
the
gravitational environment and the plasticity of the body.

Taken together these two files are an excellent tutorial on SI as well as a
wonderful
taste of Dr. Rolf's unique personality and genius. We hope that these will
contribute
to the ongoing discussion of the basic ideas from which Ida Rolf originated the
method of Structural Integration as well as contribute to a consensus within the
emerging community of structural integration practitioners.

Please feel free to link to this webpage from your website!

Happy New Year!
