thanks to everyone for their input and information regarding the 8 year old boy
i am working with who has cp. i have found out that the surgery the physicians
are recommending is probably a femoral derotation surgery along with the idea
of shortening the femur rather than going in surgically to lengthen the
involved muscles. it looks to be a very interesting experience!
