Weekly Events for StrollerHikes

Hello Mommies and Daddies!

The birds are singing, the bees are buzzing, and plenty of new plants
are popping out the ground! What an inspiring time to be outside!
Here are this week's events:

Monday, March 10th at 1:30 pm, Amy and little Adelina will lead a
hike at Stanford Dish, beginning from the bridge just beyond the
parking area at Piers Lane and Alpine Road. Any baby transport works,
but small wheeled strollers may have to be lifted over the two small
cattle guards (a distance of about 3 feet each). Sorry, no dogs
allowed. For information on this area or directions, see The Stanford
Dish Page
(http://www.strollerhikes.com/Hikes/StanfordDish/StanfordDish.html).
Amy's number is 650-207-6556 if you're running late.

Wednesday, March 12th at 11:30 am we'll hike at Windy Hill. Meet in
the lot on Alpine Rd, about 1 mile beyond the junction with Portola
Rd. Baby carriers or backpacks are best. Kristen and little Lillian
will lead this hike; Kristen's cell # is 408-410-7200. For more
information or directions, see Windy Hill Page
(http://www.strollerhikes.com/Hikes/WindyHill/WindyHill.html).

Thursday, March 13th at 4 pm we'll hike at Baylands Park in
Sunnyvale. Debbie and little Max will lead this hike, which is
entirely paved, so any stroller will work! Meet next to the recycled
water test garden (take a left after entering the park). For more
information or directions, see the Baylands Page
(http://www.strollerhikes.com/Hikes/BaylandsPark/BaylandsPark.html).
Debbie's cell number is 650-776-1082 if you're running late.

Friday, March 14th at 10:30 am at Fremont Older. We usually do Seven
Springs Loop, but this time we may venture to the other end of the
park along the fire road, for some nice vistas. Baby carriers or
backpacks are best, but joggers can work. Dogs welcome. For more
information about the area and directions, see Fremont Older Page
(http://www.strollerhikes.com/Hikes/FremontOlder/FremontOlder.html).
Meet at the Prospect Road parking lot. Susannah and little Indiana
will lead this hike. Susannah's cell # is 650-464-8659 if you're
running late.

Plan ahead! Saturday, March 29th there will be a WEEKEND FAMILY
EVENT! Enjoy a hike amongst the wildflowers at Sunol, with a picnic
at the halfway point of the hike. Dog friendly and led by Kristen and
family! We will hike 2 miles up Camp Ohlone Road for a picnic lunch
at the little Yosemite area of the Sunol Wilderness. This hike
follows a well maintained dirt road that is suitable for all types of
baby transport. Pack your lunch and bring the whole family along.
Meet at the gate for the Camp Ohlone Road, at the end of the park
road at 11:30. Directions and information about Sunol can be found at
Bay Area Hiker's Website (http://www.bahiker.com/eastbay
hikes/sunol.html) and East Bay Parks' Website
(http://www.ebparks.org/parks/sunol). Once you enter the park
continue straight and park near Leyden Flats or Alameda Grove; the
hike begins at the end of the road. Bring some money for parking and
dog fees ($5 and $2 respectively).

The sun is out - be sure to slather on a little sunscreen and pick ut
your favorite hat before going out, then enjoy all nature has to
offer!

-Debbie and little Max
