Hello Mommies and Daddies!
Hopefully you've had your fill of turkey and have been enjoying time
with family and friends. Our neighborhood is slowly becoming more
festive, with the hanging of lights and introduction of wreaths and
glowing sculptures.

Jen has decided to mix up her Thursday events for those of you
looking for more interesting and varied outings. She's a seasoned
pro at environmental education and will be picking places that
provide nice examples of local floral, fauna, and ecosystems,
particularly as they change through the seasons. This will be Jen's
last hike at Los Gatos Creek Trail; next week Jen will venture beyond.

Here are this week's events:
Monday, December 1st at 9:30 am we'll meet at John W Christian
Greenbelt. Amy and little Adelina will lead a speed walk / jog along
the lovely wide, paved greenbelt in Sunnyvale and Santa Clara. Dogs
allowed but be sure they can manage on a faster-paced walk/run. We'll
take a break around the halfway point for the trip, to play at the
large playground for toddlers, along the greenbelt. Meet at the
pedestrian bridge on Ahwanee Avenue and San Junipero Drive (the
bridge is just NW of San Junipero Dr.). Here is a Mapquest Map of the

Tuesday, December 2nd at 9 am Loren and little Angelo will lead a
mellow stroller jog around Almaden Lake and down Los Alamitos Trail.
Meet at the water dragon by the big playground near the bathrooms and
swimming beach in the main parking lot near the intersection of
Coleman Avenue and Almaden Expressway. Note that this is a different
parking lot for the lake than we often use to begin hikes. No dogs
allowed! Jogging strollers are best, but this is an entirely paved
trail, so smaller-wheeled strollers are also OK. Walkers always

Thursday, December 4th at 9 am Jennifer and her little one will be
leading a hike around Campbell Park and Los Gatos Creek Trail. Meet
by the kiosk by the bridge in Campbell Park, located at the corner of
Gilman Avenue and E Campbell Avenue. The path is entirely paved, so
any baby transport will work. Jennifer comes with over a decade of
experience leading nature hikes, so come ready to learn a little
about the flora and fauna of the area. For directions and more
