Hello Mommies and Daddies!
Here are this week's events for Stroller Hikes:
Monday, August 18th at 9:30 am we'll hike the Bol Park Trail in Palo
Alto, beginning from Bol Park near the corner of Matadero Avenue and
Laguna Avenue (on Laguna Avenue). This trail is entirely paved, so
any baby transport will work. The trail is a widely used multi-use
path that was converted from an old railroad line - a little history
here! Come visit the donkeys and chickens and see a piece of "old"
Palo Alto. Meet at the playground in the middle of the park. For more
information, see The Bol Park Webpage
(http://www.strollerhikes.com/Hikes/BolPark/BolPark.html). Amy and
little Adelina will lead this hike. If you're running late, give Amy a call at
(650)207-6556.
Wednesday, August 20th at 10 am we'll hike at Windy Hill, meet in the
lot on Alpine Rd, about 1 mile beyond the junction with Portola Rd.
Baby carriers or backpacks are best. Kristen and little Lillian will
lead this hike; Kristen's cell # is 408-410-7200. For more
information or directions, see Windy Hill Page
(http://www.strollerhikes.com/Hikes/WindyHill/WindyHill.html).
Thursday, August 21st at 9 am Jennifer and her little one will be
leading a hike around Campbell Park and Los Gatos Creek Trail. Meet
by the kiosk by the bridge in Campbell Park, located at the corner of
Gilman Avenue and E Campbell Avenue. The path is entirely paved, so
any baby transport will work. Jennifer comes with over a decade of
experience leading nature hikes, so come ready to learn a little
about the flora and fauna of the area. For directions and more
information about the trail, see the Los Gatos Creek Page
(http://www.strollerhikes.com/Hikes/LosGatosCreek/LosGatosCreek.html).
If you're running late, call Jennifer at (408) 470-0463.
Thursday, August 21st at 4 pm meet at Coal Mine Ridge / Portola
Valley Ranch. Debbie and little Max will lead this rustic hike,
mainly through shaded woods. Debbie has wonderful memories of running
these trails which are narrow-to-fire road sized dirt with rare ruts
and roots; a baby carrier or backpack are recommended. For
information about the hike and directions, see The Coal Mine Ridge
Webpage
(http://www.strollerhikes.com/Hikes/CoalMineRidge/CoalMineRidge.html).
Dogs not allowed on the trail we'll be using.
