Hello Mommies and Daddies!
Stroller Hikes' 2nd annual camping trip was a big success last week,
with plenty of dirt and sand to dig in, trees to climb and duck
inside (hollowed out by lightning), and great company to play with.
Here are this week's events:
Monday, August 11th at 9:30 am we'll meet at John W Christian
Greenbelt. Amy and little Adelina will lead a speed walk / jog along
the lovely wide, paved greenbelt in Sunnyvale and Santa Clara. Dogs
allowed but be sure they can manage on a faster-paced walk/run. Meet
at the pedestrian bridge on Ahwanee Avenue and San Junipero Drive
(the bridge is just NW of San Junipero Dr.). Here is a Mapquest Map
of the Starting Location
(http://www.mapquest.com/maps/Ahwanee+Ave+and+San+Junipero+Dr+Sunnyvale+CA/).
For more information about the trail, see the John W
Christian Greenbelt Webpage
(http://www.strollerhikes.com/Hikes/GreenbeltSunnyvale/GreenbeltSunnyvale.html).
If you're running late, give Amy a call at (650)207-6556.
Wednesday, August 13th at 10 am we'll hike at Wunderlich Park. Meet
in the main parking lot off Woodside Road. Baby carriers or backpacks
are best. Kristen and little Lillian will lead this hike, Kristen's
cell # is 408-410-7200 if you're running late. For more information
or directions, see Wunderlich Page
(http://www.strollerhikes.com/Hikes/Wunderlich/Wunderlich.html).
Thursday, August 14th at 9 am Jennifer and her little one will be
leading a hike around Campbell Park and Los Gatos Creek Trail. Meet
by the kiosk by the bridge in Campbell Park, located at the corner of
Gilman Avenue and E Campbell Avenue. The path is entirely paved, so
any baby transport will work. Jennifer comes with over a decade of
experience leading nature hikes, so come ready to learn a little
about the flora and fauna of the area. For directions and more
information about the trail, see the Los Gatos Creek Page
(http://www.strollerhikes.com/Hikes/LosGatosCreek/LosGatosCreek.html).
If you're running late, call Jennifer at (408) 470-0463.
No Thursday afternoon hike scheduled this week as we're vacationing
in Oregon. We're enjoying the green lushness of the state now,
before we head out to high desert for several days. Max is loving
every minute of it, from parks to spoiling from grandparents!
Enjoy the lovely weather!
