Thursday Afternoon Hike Change and Nature Circles   Message List
Reply | Forward Message #47 of 260 |
Hi all-

This Thursday afternoon's hike time and location is changing a little,
to account for the exceptionally cool weather closer to San Francisco
and take advantage of the warm weather we're having in the South Bay.
At 4 pm this Thursday, let's meet at Almaden Lake Park near the corner
of Winfield Blvd and Coleman Rd, at the playground next to the bocce
ball court. To avoid paying for parking, park on the street and walk
in. We'll hike along Los Alamitos Creek Trail and around the lake. If
it's hot, come suited up and ready to play on the beach and in the
water. Dogs allowed only for the Los Alamitos hike and meet up; Dogs
are not allowed on the side of the lake where the swimming beach is.
For directions and more information, see The Los Alamitos Creek Trail
Page (http://www.strollerhikes.com/Hikes/LosAlamitos/LosAlamitos.html).
If you're running late, call Debbie and little Max at (650) 776-1082;
they will lead this hike.

I also wanted to let you know about a new group for parents and babies
that Jennifer Snedeker is starting up. It's a Nature Circle, based on
the Nature Circles in Palo Alto that were begun out of Hooked on
Nature, a local nonprofit. Jennifer is holding them every other
Wednesday out of John D Morgan Park in Campbell and other local parks.
I put up more information about this at Stroller Hikes' Share Ideas
page - just click on the Share Ideas button at the top right of
www.strollerhikes.com to learn more. You'll find Jennifer's contact
info there as well as a description of what Nature Circles are all
about. Another way to find out about Nature Circles is to come out for
one of Jennifer's hikes, which she has started leading this week.
She'll lead hikes down Los Gatos Creek Trail from Campbell Park every
Thursday morning at 9 am (except next week).

-Debbie and little Max
