Hello Mommies and Daddies!
We hope you had a great Independence Day. Max saw his first
fireworks, which he aptly called flowerworks, as they appeared as
bright flowers at a distance, as we perched upon Hunter's Point at
Fremont Older to see a wide range of displays in the Bay Area, from
Redwood City to San Jose.
Here are this week's events:
Monday, July 7th at 9:30 am we'll hike at John W Christian Greenbelt.
Amy and little Adelina will lead a speed walk / jog along the lovely
wide, paved greenbelt in Sunnyvale and Santa Clara. Dogs allowed but
be sure they can manage on a faster-paced walk/run. Meet at the
pedestrian bridge on Ahwanee Avenue and San Junipero Drive (the
bridge is just NW of San Junipero Dr.). Here is a Mapquest Map of the
Starting Location:

more information about the trail, see the John W Christian
Greenbelt Webpage
(http://www.strollerhikes.com/Hikes/GreenbeltSunnyvale/GreenbeltSunnyvale.html).
Amy's number is 650-207-6556 if you're running late.
Wednesday, July 9th at 10 am we'll hike at Huddart County Park. Meet
in the first main parking lot off of King's Mountain Road, just past
the park entrance, and bring some cash to pay for parking. Baby
carriers or backpacks are best for this hike. Kristen and little
Lillian will lead this hike. Kristen's cell # is 408-410-7200 if
you're running late. For more information or directions, see Huddart
Page (http://www.strollerhikes.com/Hikes/Huddart/Huddart.html).
Thursday, July 10th at 4 pm we'll hike the Bol Park Trail in Palo
Alto, beginning from Bol Park. This trail is entirely paved, so any
baby transport will work. Dogs allowed! Meet at Bol Park near the
corner of Matadero Avenue and Laguna Avenue, on Laguna Avenue (see
http://www.mapquest.com/maps?city=Palo+Alto&state=CA&address=Matadero+Ave+And+La\
guna+Ave for
directions). Debbie and little Max will lead this hike. Debbie's
number is 650-776-1082 if you're running late.
Friday, July 11th at 9 am at Coal Mine Ridge / Portola Valley Ranch.
Debbie and little Max will lead this rustic hike, mainly through
shaded woods. Debbie has wonderful memories of running these trails
which are narrow-to-fire road sized dirt with rare ruts and roots; a
baby carrier or backpack are recommended; joggers may be a little
precarious on some of the narrow trails, but if you come with one,
we'll stick to the wider trails. For information about the hike and
directions, see Bay Area Hiker's Description
(http://www.bahiker.com/southbayhikes/cmr.html). Dogs not allowed.
Debbie's number is 650-776-1082 if you're running late.
Enjoy the summer weather!
