Hello Mommies and Daddies!
I've been researching up a storm, preparing for our StrollerHikes
forum this Tuesday, where we'll discuss what StrollerHikes is and may
become, particularly if we go non-profit. I'm very much on the fence
about this as I research more and more, so if you have an opinion,
please let me know and/or join us on Tuesday! You can reply to this
e-mail to get an address; the meeting will be in Sunnyvale at 10 am.
Snacks and plenty of toys provided!
Speaking of change... Monday hikes will be at 9:30 am every Monday
AFTER this Monday, and Amy and little Adelina will be leading a
jog/speedwalk every other week at this time, along the John W.
Christian Greenbelt. On alternate weeks, hike locations will vary,
probably be at a hiking pace, and also be led by Amy and little
Adelina. Wednesday hikes are moving to 10 am to better work with
heat and naps. If anyone else is interested in leading hikes/runs,
please let me know - you pick the time, place, and how regularly you
want to lead (every week or every other week).
Here are this week's other events:
Monday, June 16th no hike is scheduled.
Wednesday, June 18th at 10 am we'll hike at Windy Hill, meet in the
lot on Alpine Rd, about 1 mile beyond the junction with Portola Rd.
Baby carriers or backpacks are best. Kristen and little Lillian will
lead this hike; Kristen's cell # is 408-410-7200. For more
information or directions, see the Windy Hill Page
(http://www.strollerhikes.com/Hikes/WindyHill/WindyHill.html).
Thursday, June 19th we'll take a train ride to San Francisco and
hike/run the Embarcadero (the train drops us nearby) and/or visit
Zeum, an interactive museum for young kids. Interested? E-mail Debbie
(reply to this e-mail) with your expression of interest and time
constraints so we can pick a best time for everyone.
Friday, June 20th at 8 am we'll hike at Fremont Older. We'll hike
Seven Springs Loop with a visit to Hunter's Point. Dogs welcome. For
more information about the area and directions, see Fremont Older
Page
(http://www.strollerhikes.com/Hikes/FremontOlder/FremontOlder.html).
Meet at the Prospect Road parking lot. Baby carriers suggested,
though a large-wheeled baby jogger works OK. Debbie and little Max
will lead this hike.
We hope to see/hear from you next week! If you love the idea of
visiting San Francisco but can't go this week, Amy is leading a hike
at Crissy Field in San Francisco on the 30th.
-Debbie (and little Max)
