Hello Mommies and Daddies!
We hope you're enjoying the amazing weather we've been having. We've
been getting outside for dirt biking every weekend for the last 4
weeks, and little Max is really getting a kick out of watching that!
I'm still looking for a volunteer to give a 20 to 30 minute
presentation about StrollerHikes at one of Maria Ord's Parenting
Classes. We've presented for the last two courses she's had, so it'd
be a shame to miss one. I'll provide the CD with a PowerPoint and
they'll provide the computer, projector, and tech support. You would
just be there to answer questions and show off StrollerHikes as a
great way to meet other parents, get some exercise, and enjoy
nature. It's very low-key. The class is at 10:30 on Monday in the
new El Camino Medical Group facility near the junction of El Camino
Real and Hwy 85 (Mountain View). Please e-mail or call me (650-776-
1082) if you're interested in helping.
Here are this week's events:
Monday, May 12th at 9:30 am let's hike at Stevens Creek Trail. The
hike will begin from Creekside Park in Mountain View. Diana and
little Taeva Rose will lead the hike. For more information, see
Stevens Creek Trail Page
(http://www.strollerhikes.com/Hikes/StevensCreekTrail/StevensCreekTrail.html).
Feel welcome to linger at the park before and after the hike
for some play and socialization!
Wednesday, May 14th at 11:30 am we'll hike at Fremont Older. We'll
hike Seven Springs Loop with a visit to Hunter's Point. Dogs welcome.
For more information about the area and directions, see Fremont Older
Page
(http://www.strollerhikes.com/Hikes/FremontOlder/FremontOlder.html).
Meet at the Prospect Road parking lot. Baby carriers suggested,
though a large-wheeled baby jogger works OK. Kristen and little
Lillian will lead this hike. Kristen's cell # is 408-410-7200 if
you're running late.
Thursday, May 15th at 4 pm, we'll hike at Shoreline Park. The trail
is paved, so it's great for all strollers or kid carriers. Meet at
the lake next to where the sailboats are kept (to the right of the
cafe / bathrooms building). There are plenty of play structures and a
beach for toddlers! Sorry, no dogs allowed. For information about the
park and directions, see Shoreline Park Page
(http://www.strollerhikes.com/Hikes/Shoreline/Shoreline.html). Debbie
and little Max will lead this hike. Debbie's cell # is 650-776-1082
if you're running late.
Friday, May 16th at 1:30 pm, we'll meet at Alviso Marina and Don
Edwards Wildlife Refuge in Alviso. Come enjoy the range of birds, the
Bay breezes, and see the train! Meet at the Marina Parking lot. Bring
a carrier or a jogging stroller. Sorry, no dogs allowed. For
directions or more information about the area, see The Alviso / Don
Edwards Page (http://www.strollerhikes.com/Hikes/Alviso/Alviso.html).
Sharisse and little Chase will lead this hike.
Hope to see you outside soon!
