Hello Mommies and Daddies!
We've been enjoying a flurry of activity this week, with a camping
trip to Yosemite, several hikes including a fantastic one at Castle
Rock, and the re-commencement of water fun outside. Max just curled
up to sleep after a busy day of watching motorcycles at Hollister
Hills - all of that outside time really tuckers us out!
We hope you can partake in one or more of this week's events!
Monday, April 21st at 1:30 pm we'll hike at Baylands Park in
Sunnyvale. Amy and little Adelina will lead this hike, which is
entirely paved, so any stroller will work! Meet next to the recycled
water test garden (take a left after entering the park). For more
information or directions, see the Baylands Page
(http://www.strollerhikes.com/Hikes/BaylandsPark/BaylandsPark.html).
Parking costs money at the park, but if you'd like free parking, park
at the ball field next door (there's a dirt path leading from the
sidewalk coming from the ball field to the recycled water garden).
Amy's cell number is 650-207-6556 if you're running late.
Wednesday, April 23rd at 11:30 am at Villa Montalvo. Park in Lot #2
and meet in front of the Villa. Baby carriers or backpacks are best.
Kristen and little Lillian will lead this hike. Kristen's cell # is
408-410-7200 if you're running late. For information about the area,
see South Bay Hikes Webpage for Villa Montalvo
(http://www.bahiker.com/southbayhikes/montalvo.html) or Santa Clara
County Information on the Park (http://www.sccgov.org/SCC/docs/Parks%
20and%20Recreation,%20Department%20of%20
(DEP)/attachments/41975montalvo.pdf).
Thursday, April 24th at 4 pm at Fremont Older. We'll hike Seven
Springs Loop. Dogs welcome. For more information about the area and
directions, see Fremont Older Page
(http://www.strollerhikes.com/Hikes/FremontOlder/FremontOlder.html).
Meet at the Prospect Road parking lot. Baby carriers suggested,
though a large-wheeled baby jogger works OK. Debbie and little Max
will lead this hike. If you're running late, Debbie's cell number is
650-776-1082.
Friday, April 25th at 10:30 am we'll hike at Rancho San Antonio. Meet
at the Equestrian Parking Lot (lower lot without bathroom; go
downhill immediately after entrance) -- NOTE THAT THIS IS A NEW
STARTING POINT FOR US. For more information or directions, see the
Rancho San Antonio Page
(http://www.strollerhikes.com/Hikes/RanchoSanAntonio/ranchoSanAntonio.
html). Sorry, dogs not allowed. Any type of baby transport works. We
can take the new paved trail from here, past the upper parking areas,
to the farm, and beyond, or if people want more of a workout, we can
try Coyote Trail. Susannah and little Indiana will lead this hike.
Susannah's cell # is 650-464-8659 if you're running late.
Enjoy the gorgeous weather!
