Hello Mommies and Daddies!
Last Monday, Lisa had a great time presenting StrollerHikes to new
moms at Camino Medical Group's new family class... and just earlier
that morning Amy B. made the grandest of all presentations when she
gave birth to little Sadie early in the week. Congrats to the
Bankhead clan!
Here are this week's events:
Monday, April 7th at 9:30 am let's hike at Stevens Creek Trail. (Yes,
this is an updated time and location!) The hike will begin from
Creekside Park in Mountain View. Diana and little Taeva Rose will
lead the hike. For more information, see Stevens Creek Trail Page
(http://www.strollerhikes.com/Hikes/StevensCreekTrail/StevensCreekTrai
l.html). Feel welcome to linger at the park before and after the hike
for some play and socialization!
Wednesday, April 9th at 11:30 am, we'll hike at Hidden Villa. Enjoy
the largely shaded hikes with rolling hills in this functioning farm
that includes a tourable garden and animal pens. Meet at the farm's
parking lot near their visitor center. Bring a suggested $5 donation
for parking. Baby backpacks or carriers work best for the hike; if
you just want to see the farm, a jogging stroller works fine. Sorry,
dogs not allowed. For directions or more information, see Hidden
Villa Page
(http://www.strollerhikes.com/Hikes/HiddenVilla/HiddenVilla.html).
Kristen and little Lillian will lead this hike. Kristen's cell # is
408-410-7200 if you're running late.
Thursday, April 10th at 4 pm at Pichetti Open Space Preserve in
Cupertino. Meet at the trailhead entrance on the West side of the
parking lot (also the entrance to the winery). The trail is dirt on
some rolling hills, but it gets narrow in spots, so a front carrier
or backpack are best. Bring a few bucks (I think $5) and we can
linger afterwards for wine tasting and snacks until the winery room
closes. For more information or directions, see the Pichetti Page
(http://www.strollerhikes.com/Hikes/Pichetti/Pichetti.html). Debbie
and little Max will lead this hike.
Friday, April 11th at 10:30 am, we'll be hiking at Crystal Springs.
This is an entirely paved trail (well, I doubt it if we'll make it to
the short gravel section connecting to San Andreas Trail) so all
strollers work fine. Plenty of benches and port-o-potties along the
way, and a nice picnic area with water near the 3.5 mile mark (if we
make it that far). For information about the hike or directions, see
Crystal Springs Page
(http://www.strollerhikes.com/Hikes/CrystalSprings/CrystalSprings.html
). Meet at the benches just inside the gate at Crystal Springs Rd and
Syline Blvd. Susannah and little Indiana will lead this hike.
Susannah's cell # is 650-464-8659 if you're running late.
Enjoy!
