Hi Mommies and Daddies!
Max is becoming quite fluent with the term "windy" with the current
weather, but we've had some gorgeous breaks with clear blue skies!

Here are next week's events:
Monday, March 17th at 9:30 am at Stevens Creek Trail. The hike will
begin from Creekside Park in Mountain View. Diana and little Taeva
Rose will lead the hike. For more information, see Stevens Creek
Trail Page
(http://www.strollerhikes.com/Hikes/StevensCreekTrail/StevensCreekTrai
l.html). Feel welcome to linger at the park before and after the hike
for some play and socialization!

Wednesday, March 19th at 11:30 am we'll hike at Arastradero. Meet in
the main parking lot off of Arastradero Rd. Baby carriers or
backpacks are best. Kristen and little Lillian will lead this hike.
Kristen's cell # is 408-410-7200 if you're running late. For more
information, see Bay Area Hiker's Description of Arastradero
(http://www.bahiker.com/southbayhikes/arastradero.html).

Thursday, March 20th at 4 pm we'll hike at Rancho San Antonio. Meet
at the upper parking lot where model airplanes are flown (just past
the entrance, turn right, then left into the first parking area
uphill from the lower two). For more information or directions, see
the Rancho San Antonio Page
(http://www.strollerhikes.com/Hikes/RanchoSanAntonio/ranchoSanAntonio.
html). Sorry, dogs not allowed. Debbie and little Max will lead this
hike. Bring a carrier or backpack if you'd like to have the largest
choice in hikes to do, but there are several routes that will take
any kind of stroller. If you're running late, Debbie's cell # is
(650)776-1082.

Friday, March 21st at 1:30 pm, we'll meet at Picchetti Open Space
Preserve in Cupertino. Meet at the trailhead entrance on the West
side of the parking lot (also the entrance to the winery). The trail
is dirt on some rolling hills, but it gets narrow in spots, so a
front carrier or backpack are best. Bring a few bucks (I think $5)
and we can linger afterwards for wine tasting and snacks (an early
lunch). For more information or directions, see the Picchetti Page
(http://www.strollerhikes.com/Hikes/Pichetti/Pichetti.html). Sharisse
and little Chase will lead this hike.

Plan ahead:
Saturday, March 29th there will be a WEEKEND FAMILY EVENT! Enjoy a
hike amongst the wildflowers at Sunol, with a picnic at the halfway
point of the hike. Dog friendly and led by Kristen and family! We
will hike 2 miles up Camp Ohlone Road for a picnic lunch at the
little Yosemite area of the Sunol Wilderness, this hike follows a
well maintained dirt road that is suitable for all types of baby
transport. Pack your lunch and bring the whole family along. Meet at
the gate for the Camp Ohlone Road, at the end of the park road at
11:30. Directions and information about Sunol can be found at Bay
Area Hiker's Website (http://www.bahiker.com/eastbay
hikes/sunol.html) and East Bay Parks' Website
(http://www.ebparks.org/parks /sunol). Once you enter the park
continue straight and park near Leyden Flats or Alameda Grove; the
hike begins at the end of the road.

Max and I will be enjoying the robots tomorrow at the FIRST Robotics
Competition hosted by San Jose State University as students of all
ages and schools compete with robots of all shapes and sizes to meet
simple goals. Most competitors are high-school aged and local, but
there are 2 teams from Mexico and a few from other states including
Hawaii. Competition began today and will continue for much of the
weekend, primarily Saturday between 9:30 am and 4 pm with an hour
lunch break beginning at noon. Watching the competition is free.
San Jose State's Event Center address is 1 Washington Square, 290 S.
7th Street, San Jose, 95192-0201. Find more about the teams at
https://my.usfirst.org/myarea/index.lasso?
page=teamlist&menu=false&event=SJ&year=2008 and more about the
event's goals and sponsor at FIRST's website
(http://www.usfirst.org/who/default.aspx?id=34).

Maybe we'll see you there!

- Debbie and little Max
