update for a slow group   Message List

Hi all. I run a group to and know what it's like seeing no one post. I thought
I would say hello to all that joined and give a little update. Since joining,
not much has changed. I still don't have a rhuematologist yet. To be honest, I'm
not looking. Work is so slow and I can't afford the medical bills anymore. I'm
sure there are others in my boat too. My last xrays with the cancer center
showed the left SI joint was about 3/4 fused. Hip are looking nasty but
cartilage is surviving. I guess that old saying "If you don't use it you lose
it" holds true. I just keep using and abusing them. I haven't had any fingers
swells in a long time. Maybe because I keep burning them and smashing them so
the body keeps healing them. I wouldn't recommend that to anyone. I'm not taking
any meds. I hated taking drugs and as soon as I could I stopped. Now that I have
a link for food and latex causing me extra stomach issues, cutting back or
eliminating that food has helped my gut a bunch. I don't go to the cancer center
any more. All the tumor issues has been put on my GI doctor's lap. But i missed
my last appointment with him due to work. Now I get letters asking me to set an
appointment. I guess I better if for one reason, the tumors next to my pancreas.
I hope all is going well for all of you. I hope your surviving the economy slow
down. Brian
