Hi Andy~
I do not experience exactly the same thing you are referring to (I also take
Remicade), but for the past several months I have been experiencing
something weird. I get sudden attacks of room spinning dizziness. It begins
with a noise in my left ear, then I experience near deafness in that ear
along with the dizziness. The episodes last anywhere from 20 seconds to 2
minutes. There does not seem to be any trigger. It has occurred randomly,
without regard to Remicade treatment, activity level, stress, rest, driving,
diet or anything else. Once the hearing starts to return, I feel a dull ache
in my head and a feeling of being overheated. Occasionally I have
experienced some mild nausea as well. I have not yet pushed the issue with
my rheumy, but I plan to see her again in the next month, and will tackle
that issue then.
I hope you soon find out what's causing your headache. I agree with Spenser;
the doctor should not be so casual and blow you off without consideration.
If you can, find another doctor---either a neurologist or even an ENT (ear
nose and throat specialist). If it isn't neurological, perhaps it is an ear
issue.
Tyler
