Re: Insult to Injury

Gigi,
You have encouraged me that Enbrel is working for you. I went to my
rhumey yesterday, and we decided my current medicine isnt work and we
need to take a more aggressive step. She said it may only reduce the
pain 60-70%, but i am glad to hear that it is helping you. It
encourages me that there is hope in the future for less pain. I also
talked with my dr yesterday about different pain meds, and she put me
on an anti-seizure medicine called Lyrica. She said its a really safe
medicine, and helps control pain even tho it is an anti-seizure
medicine. I dont know if you have tried it, but its just a thought for
something safer than taking pain meds all the time. I hope things get
better for you soon! Blessings, Kelly.

I am using Lyrica. It is for neuropathic pain rather than as an anti-seizure medication. I have had excellent results at the lowest dose. It does a better job...
