Why get down on this site? Okay Kristi, I'll give my 2 cents here. The reason I (and I'll bet most) joined this group is people having something in common, sharing information, telling of conquests we have made in the battles of SCI. And even sharing a joke or two. For me, couple folks from here have even become contacts on a level outside this yahoo group. And on the other side, some exchanges have gotten a little robust. However, I'll bet most DIDN'T join this to get dragnet solicitations from the gimp modeling agency. With the simplest searches through Google or Bing, you can find such places in seconds. It's one of those "dont call us, we'll call you" things. They rarely use actual disabled people in modeling when they need a disabled model as is. And the owner of the site created it because she understood that. She is very beautiful, but because she's disabled her dreams of modeling were crushed, so she created this site to empower some of those that feel the same as her. Some of the models share your opinion about devs by the way. Why is it that only a devotee would enjoy the pictures? Art and modeling is just that. In a lot of the sets, it's not obvious that there is a disability. Even if you don't agree with the site, that is TOTALLY your right, however why e-mail the owner cruel hurtful things such as swearing at them. How would you feel if someone did that to you simply because you somehow don't fit their views (such as being disabled. How would you like it if someone said those things to you because of your disability and yes there are people out there that feel that way about the disabled). I have said my bit, I'm sure it doesn't matter. My main point being tolerance... ...if you don't like something, ignore it.....or don't model.
