Having problems with message search?
I just wanted to share that my husband and I took out a home equity loan to pay off the mortgage. Our loan payments are lower and allow us some breathing room for monthly bills. Our loan payments are set up for 5 years, but we can pay it off sooner if we want. Money has been such an issue since this started. We almost lost our house and I am so relieved to have set this up so we will own our home in the near future. I am so thankful that all of this is over.

Subject: [Spinalcordinjury] Workman's comp settlement
I finally got the settlement check for workman's comp. We settled out of court and got more than they were offering. With the check, we are going to put a lump sum on our mortgage and use the rest for Christmas. By placing the lump sum on the house, we will have the house paid off in the next 2 years. That will save us so much money by not having a monthly house payment.
