That's the thing, you don't eat just cereal all day. You start off the day with
the cereal, have one of the protein bars or another serving of ceral and then a
normal meal.
The most important thing I've gotten from the plan so far is learning to control
portions. What I used to think of as a serving of cereal and fruit was really
almost two full servings.
Changing habits is hard, but the plan can definitely help!
Hi, Gang!
Like many of you, I have tried numerous diets. The latest was weight watchers. I
have to say that I did experience success, but didn't like attending
meetings--especially on the weeks I didn't lose. I have put back on 9 pounds
since I stopped going to the meetings. I look at myself and know that there is a
thinner me inside there. I start the Special K Challenge on the third when I get
back in the classroom. My ultimate goal is 20 pounds, but the first small step
is 10. I plan on walking at least 3 days a week to start. I don't want this to
be yet another unfulfilled resolution. I know that eating right, and excersising
is the healthy way to live, and that is my choice. I look forward to sharing my
successes and learning experiences with the group.

what makes you want to workout? how do you work out? what exersizes do you do
that works?
I'm Kathy and I live in Camby IN. I have two daughters, 9 and 5. I need to
loose a few pounds but mainly want to maintain my weight. I lost about 20
pounds a year ago. Not the good way though. I became very ill and couldn't
eat, or drink for that matter, everything I put in my mouth came back out
one way or another. I'm finally healthy again but I don't really want to
gain back all the weight I gained.
I went out and bought my box of Special K, some snack bars, and some protein bars a little bit ago. Holy cow! Talk about expensive! Oh well...it'll be worth it I think.

Yes that is my thought keep track of one another, discuss issues, how the weight
loss is going or not going, give support etc.
I workout, bowl and play racquetball but it is the eating I need to get under
control.

I am committed to doing this for me, to exercise and healthy eating.

Well Deb B I would like to talk to you about things also. I am planning on
starting the diet on January 3, 2008. I am 40 years old and have tried all the
diets you say youve tried and a few more. I only have one problem with working
out right now and would love to have someone to talk to and to encourage me as

PS I am planningon walking 3 days a week very slowly at first since I had me
right knee replaced on Novemeber 26. Also plan on doing some swimming and some
weight lifting the other 3-4 days.
I just have a qiuck question about the diet... how are the carbs on this diet?
I really have to watch my carb intake. Does anyone have any info? Thanks
My baby is 10 mos and I am still breastfeeding her as well. I'm assuming that
we get a little extra snack food but I'm guessing that would depend on how often
we are nursing. I am only nursing 3x during the day and 0-1x at night so I'm
going to try do it without much extra, let me know what you find out
Hi my name is Devona Miller and I am 21 years old. To many people I may be young
but the stress of being a full time worker, mother, wife, sister, and daughter
has done some horrible things to my body. I had my daughter is January of 2006
and have gained more weight on top of the weight gained during my pregnancy due
to some other issues. My goal is to lose 41 pounds all together. I want to be a
