Hello Dionne! My name is Jennifer, I am not sure if you had seen my buddy reply,
but, Hello and its nice to meet you. Okay, I have to tell you that I am not on
here to loose the weight actually I am complete opposite and am wanting to gain
some. I have given birth to 3 children. My baby almost 3 yrs ago. The way that I
loose my weight I can tell you is not the most appropiate way of looseing
weight., but, I only eat when I am hungry. If I am not hungry I do not eat. I am
not hungry most of the time. To loose my baby weight however, I basically told
my mind that I was not hungry and that I wanted to be in my jeans again. I did
an at home work out all the time. (midnight-when the kids were asleep. I was a
single mother at that time as well.) I only ate crackers and spaghetti o's. I
love dr. pepper so thats what I drank. I walked all the time though. I made up
my own aerobic exercisess to loud music. I love to sing and I love music. I
listen to country and some older everyday
music. Cher- If I could turn back time is a good one to work with, has a good
rythm. You have to tell yourself this is where you want to be. I can tell you
that I lost my weight and was at my original size of 1-2's. (Mind you that I was
born 2lbs.) Now, I dont know where you were before you had you had your baby,
but, I can tell you that anyone can loose the weight if they are determined. To
loose strectch marks this really does work, you need to do sit ups, and crunches
to tighten those belly muscles back up. IT WORKS!!! Creams are only a fraud.
Thats just my opinion. If you like I can be a support buddy to talk to and kinda
keep a daily record of what you did each day whether its walking, running, or
just spaghetti o's. I know you may think I am crazy but, it really works. My
second pregnancy my belly look like I had a beach ball there, a big one. For me
I previous was a 1-2, and went all the way to a size 16. I could place a turkey
platter on my belly and eat. smile it
was really kinda cute. I looked silly with these small thin legs n this big
belly. Please dont be offended by any of this, I dont know what your size is,
and I am only here to give support. (One of my best friends ok 2 of them are
heavy, they a beautiful people one is a woman n the other a man, they walk with
me all the time, and I think they are prefect just the way they are, I love them
for who they are.) The support I am looking for in return my be someone to talk
to about what I amy have eaten everyday. I need that. Like I said before I would
only eat one meal a day. (if that.) I am doing much better now though. Last year
at this exat time I was 90lbs. Today I am between 110-112. Thats a really great
acheivement for me. It was very hard. If you want to talk I am here.
I wish you all the Best in loosing your baby wieght. YOU CAN DO IT. also keep
in mind that you know your body better than anyone else. Friends, support
groups, dieticians, and even those doctors. You can do this!!! I believe in YOU.
   God Bless,
   Jennifer

Ok, maybe it's a lot like New Year's resolutions, but there are always
points in the year where it seems appropriate to get started on things.

It's Labor Day, which leaves almost three full months before
Thanksgiving and the next assault of tempting food in large quantities.

So if you're looking for that push to get you going, let's use this
topic as our starting point. You can set your goals, talk about your
challenges, and give and get support as we all try to look better for
those family holiday gatherings!

Hi, I'm Shannon and next month I'll be 36! Wow, hard to believe!
What's harder to believe is that I have been in a constant struggle
with my weight since 7th grade! That is TOO long. I have tried every
diet imaginable (liquid seaweed anyone?!). If you can believe, the
best thing that worked for me was my ex having an affair & then
leaving me for another woman (lost 50 lbs). LOL But I have been
happily remarried for 11 1/2 years. Have welcomed two more children
(3 total) and 100 more pregnancy pounds! I have made my way to 170.
I am 5'6" tall and bottom heavy (JLo eat your heart out!). I would
love to lose 30-40 lbs. I need to get my motivation back! It's hard
to stay motivated when the weight just creeps off. I want results and
I want them NOW! Sound like a spoiled brat don't I?! LOL Anyway,
I'm thinking about taking the Special K challenge. Hoping that maybe
it will give me the jump start I need to get busy with losing this
weight. I want to lose it before I turn 40 cuz I've heard your
metabolism takes a hit after that.

I am a stay at home mom and I have 3 kids. Ages almost 14, 10 and 8.
Married to a wonderful, supportive man, Tom. He loves me regardless
of the number on the scale. Wondering if that is actually a good
thing though! Maybe I need him telling me to lose weight! Can I
blame him?! LOL

Anyone take the challenge and see great results? Anyone take the
challenge and wonder why they wasted 2 weeks of their lives? LOL I
would love to hear your stories! Have a great Labor Day, I plan on
eating too much and feeling guilty about it later....care to join me?!

Shannon

I guess the reason I started this topic is because I find myself at one
of those moments in time :)

What's discouraging at the start is that I know that it's a
combination of diet and exercise. And I have NO problems with the
exercise part. But unless I flat out don't eat, there's not any weight
coming off me, or at least it seems that way.
I tend to burn fat and build muscle very quickly, so the immediate
result when I start something like this is that I gain weight, which
makes it hard on the old knees (It's not the years, it's the mileage!)

In any event, there must be somebody out there in a similar bind,
right? ;)

My name's Amanda and I just graduated high school. I am taking this
year off to save money for college. I'm pretty happy with my body but
would like to drop a couple pounds in a healthy way and stay in shape
this year since I'll have a lot of free time when I'm not working.
Hopefully this challege works for me. I hope to lose 7-10 pounds with
diet and exercise.

I assume you've been making adjustments to your diet to substitute for
milk all this time. No reason why the Special K challenge can't work
without milk. As the description of the challenge says:

Step 1: Kick start your day with a bowl of Special K® cereal (any
variety) with 2/3 cup of skim milk and fruit.

Step 2: Replace another meal with a Special K ® protein meal bar (any
variety) OR another serving of your favorite Special K ® cereal.

Step 3: Eat your third meal as you normally do.

Whatever you happen to be using in place of milk would do in step one!

Grace,

Good luck even though I don't think you'll need it. I am 5'-1" and back
in January I weighed 160-pounds. With the Special K plan and some stick-
to-itivness, I lost 25-pounds in about 4 months. That may seem like a
long time to lose 25-pounds, but it is a healthy way to do it and the
weight has not come back.

Be patient, stick to the plan and you can get where you want to go.

Stay strong,

Bart

girl, from Indiana. My first goal is to lose 25lbs (I am currently at

around several times. I recently got sick of slim fast and thought I'd
give this a try. We'll see how this goes...
