Hi. Thanks, it feels great. Okay to answer you questions. I eat the Vanilla Almond, I have from the start and still love it, with 2% milk and a banana cut into it. I started exercising slowly at first 30 minutes 3 times a week, then I was going 45 minutes and doing it every day, at my strongest I believe I was doing an hour daily, sometimes twice a day. The exercising included  cardio and weights.I do snack on fruit, usually apples and bananas, and the SK snack bars, the one with chocolate helped my urges for sweets. As for water I drink bottled water, usually AquaFina, and drink atleast 4 of the 16.9 floz. It was really hard at first, but the longer I did it the easier it became.

My name is Ruby Beltran.  I live in NWOhio.  I'm 29 years old, single
mother of 3.  Use elliptical for 30 min. every morning.  But my eating
habits aren't very nice.  I weigh about 140lbs and would like to get
under 120 sometime soon.  My biggest weakness is sweets.  Any
suggestions?

Hey,I'm Cali. I had never been overweight in my 33 yrs of age. I broke
up with my boyfriend recently(8 months) and I got into a terrible
depresion,I started eating  and eating everytime I felt a little
emotional.The results ? I'm 45 lbs overweight now.Suddenly I realized
life is not gonna end because of losing that relationship,but I
realized it a little too late,I mean when I look myself in the mirror I
can't believe that's me.I'm trying to lose at least 30 pounds,that's my
goal.I started searching on the net a natural and effective way to lose
weight.I don't wanna go to pills,or magic fat burn creams.I'm
spanish,so I bought a salsa aerobics dvd and started doing 15-20 mins
about 1 wk ago.I started the special k challenge about 3 days now.I
feel right eating special k,but I never did any kind of diet before.If
you have tips that maybe could be useful,pls feel free to share them
with me.I'll keep you guys updated on my success.It feels weird,but
right to know I'm not the only one ....

Hi Jackie-
I just joined today too and I'm always looking for good advice on
kicking fat in the butt!  Anyway, I'm 5'2" and I used to weigh
181lbs!  I lost alot of it on the elliptical and healthier eating.  I
really learned alot about nutrition during this time.  It took me
about 8 months to get down to 126 lbs.  But it was pure dedication,
just wanted to let you know that it is very possible.  I have three
children and it was hard, but you can do it.  If you can dream it, it

Hey girl-

Ur right u r definitely not the only one.  But everyone's body is
different and so is everyone's mentality towards food.  It is so
important to find out what works for you.  It must be tailored to
your everyday life or it will be a short ride on the diet express.
I'm Latina too and I make a lot of mexican food. The trick is to
always exercise even if its just walking, do something right after ur
meals.  Find the foods that you know will help you, eventually you'll
start eating your normal foods with a healthy twist.  Read anything
on nutritional facts, tidbits of information really add up.  Good
Luck to you.  I lost almost 80 lbs of fat weight due to exercise and
healthy eating...no diet pills!

I lost 60lbs overall but probably about 80lbs in fat weight.  It was
slow at first but after 2 or 3 months my weight started to melt off.
First, you need to start exercising.  Start walking first, then speed
walking, then try a cardio machine like the stairmaster, elliptical
or bike.  Do cardio everyday that you workout.  Work up to being on
the machine for 30 min a day and then throw in some lifting for
toning the muscles.  All of this will take time, but fight for the
need to lose that weight!  It is not hopeless unless if you choose
it.  Don't forget to eat moderately.  Eat meat 1/2hr before and after
a strenuous workout.  It feeds ur muscles the protein and helps boost
metabolism.  Drink plenty of water and careful of sugars, bad fats
and too many carbs.  You'll see.  Good Luck!

I would just like to know how much cereal I should eat at breakfast
and lunch, cuz when I add up my calories they go up with one cup of
cereal (of course), but I wanted to know if we should eat half a cup

briamberose, serving size is just that, read the labels on the box it will tell you what one serving is, no matter what it is. like any diet. read the labels/      betsy_standish

Hi my name is Ann,and I have learned to lose the weight You can use a
smaller plate to eat on so that way you will be eating less.which you
should be doing besides eating a lot of veg and fruit.If you start to
eat healthy.you will lose and drinking a lot of water or seltzer should
help you to feel full.Good luck on losing...

Got ur message.  I think we should be each others buddy.  I weigh
140lbs and want to get to 115.  I think 25 lbs is a reasonable goal.  I
will encourage u!  Good Luck. My plan is to eat Special K whenever I
get hungry for snacks and for brkfst and lunch.  Dinner will be light.
My exercise routine will be 30 min on the elliptical 5 days a week.  I
plan on staying on this regimine(?) until my metabolism gets kick
started, by then I hope my serving sizes go down.

Hello Everybody,  My name is Valerie and I am really pleased to be
here.  I heard about this program from my granddaughter, Janae and
decided to sign on.  I am looking to stay away from junk and fast
foods and get back to eating healthier.  I would also love to begin
the journey of losing the weight I have put on.  At my age, and with
arthiritis, it has been really difficult.  I am still trying though.
I love the Special K with the strawberries in it.  I haven't tried the
bars and things like that yet.  This will be a totally new experience
for me.
Just wanted to say Hello and wish everybody the best of luck.

yeah, hi,
