Vitamin E is good for stretch marks - break open the gelcap and apply directly to the stretch marks at night. Also, be sure you are getting enough Vitamin C and Vitamin A. Both are critical for good tissue integrity. We see this issue a lot in celiac disease because people with it do not absorb their nutrients properly.

i like to also add if you get bored with eating the ceral get the special k waffles there is a cpl flavors, i have eaten the waffles for breakfast 2 and 2 tablesspoons of light syrup which it shows that and have ceral one morning or waffle then lunch have the protien shake i love the choc flav best, and later on  in the day i have a yoplait yogurt light many diff flav and so good hope this helps someone. and remember lots of walking and water, have a wonderful day everyone

hi maria,  i know losing weight is hard but the only way to really drop the weight is persistence. yes the special k plan does work. they suggest you replace two meals with either a bowl of cereal or one of their meal bars or shake. you dont have to be strict about it, just stick to it the best that you can. if it is easier start replacing just your snacks with special k snack bars and fruit. after a few weeks replace your breakfast with a bowl of the cereal. after you get use to that try replacing either your lunch or dinner with cereal or a cereal bar. that combined with exercise should help you drop the weight. how much weight are you trying to lose anyway? if you would like any more advice or someone to talk to i would be happy to help. you can im me on yahoo at adabekka. or email if you want. good luck.

I've had success with my new coach.  He did a body mass index (i think I wrote
it correctly). I had to increase my calories then ad more calories to supply me
with energy to get through my work out.  It's working so far.  I have another
week to go then I switch from high protein to high carbs.  When I first started
with him I couldn't do any pull ups and three sit ups. I'm up to fifteen pull up
and 28 sit ups.  He put me on a full program and I can track every little bit of
food I eat.  I makes me think twice about what I put into my mouth when I have
to enter it on the website. It tells me how many calories and how much fat is in
it before I eat it. I've cut out the bad stuff because of it. My daughter is now
on the same eating program too.  SHe saw the results and joined in. She hasn't
worked out with me.  She says it's too extreme. LOL!!!!
So Becky and Maria, DO YOUR BEST!!!  FORGET THE REST!!! That's what my trainer
tells me ALL THE TIME.

Try to stop eating period before bed.  My trainer told me that as my metabolism
rises, I will start burning more energy.  This has started to work for me.  I
have increased my protein intake.  He has me on a strict diet.  40% protein, 40%
Carbs, 20% fat. I was 230lb and for my height I should be 170lb.  I lost 23 lbs
so far and I eat like a pig.  Okay it felt like I was eating like a pig.  He
upped my calories to 2300 and added 600 more calories on my workout days.  The
600 he said is needed to burn off during the workout.  I do what Alida says, eat
smaller meals more often.  I have protein drinks with me at all times.  I keep a
zip lock bag of raw almonds in my purse and those carry me over between meals. 
I stopped the late night snacks.  Instead I drink a glass of water.  He told me
that our body burns one calory for every glass of water we drink so drink water
before bed.  My metabolism is getting higher, I feel it and since I started
doing water before bed, I lost 2 lbs in my sleep.  I know it sounds crazy.  I
even changed the battery in my scale.  LOL.  He said it will keep doing it as
long as I adjust my calory, protiend aand carbs to my workouts and wieght.

Hi Jessica,  you have to have a plan and stick with it,  that goes with exercise and diet combined.  cutting out all jusk food for a long time.  and having only a little now and then once you've reached your goal weight.  it isn't easy for sure and it does take commitment and lots and lots of will power.   Have lots of fruits and fresh veggies to snack on when you get the urge to want to eat anything bad. 
Never eat more calories than you burn.  find out what your calorie amt should be for your height, and what you should weight , then focus on small increments at a time so you won't break your way to your goal. to lose the weight eat 100-200 calories less than the recommended amt. and you should lose.   Remember exercise and diet work hand in hand.  you are what you eat.  and it takes work.  but everyone here can help you keep focused.  Good luck.  Hank tough girl you can do it.

I personally don't do the special k diet cause I cannot have any white flour products, but one thing I will tell you is if you eliminate all the junk food and junk drinks and sugar from your diet  you'd be quite amazed how much weight you'll lose .  And exercising of course is a must , both cardio and weight resistant exercises are needed to complete the weight loss regimen.. YOU CAN DO IT>   JUST STAY STRONG>
Its okay to fail now and then.. just get back up and start all over again.

a Special K for breakfast and another one for lunch, ots of water, and a hearty soup for dinner...the water really helps as it makes me feel full and less likely to overindulge...I am an emotional binge eater so I catch myself...I hope this helps and Good Luck!!!

to stay on a diet .. you must have fun
WATER is very important ... for hydration and then for moves out the fat
I am a Lapbander, so my portions are smaller but we have found...
I belong to a group and we find that you never drink your water after eating since it moves your food out and...get hungry
the rule is water can be taken one half an hour before the meal and hour after

As for the special k... make if fun
I love my cereal and have at times eaten it dry with chopsticks

ANd if you get bored,,,look down at the results...healther you!!!
I love myself so much with the weight loss and still have plenty to go... but honestly the special k cereal has really helped... but it adds the crunch that we need and it condenses nicely ...meaning...when you are banded you have to chew chew chew....but the Special K does not get stuck

SO STICK TO THE PLAN>..banding was not an option for me...I had to lose the weight FAST... make the Special K diet or way of life work

Also, there are plenty of exercise videos for free on YouTube.

Sorry for the preaching but am frustrated after watching the Biggest Loser last week,..they spoke of all the money we spend on surgeries and diets and it is more than cancer cure.
So please stick to the plan...get coupons...wait for a sale and buy more products..this plan is the same as the health depts weight loss recomendations which is also weight watchers.

Get a before and after picture...plenty around and keep it in your pocketbook.. pull out that magazine picture and say...IF THAT person can do it...then I DEFINITELY WILL AND CAN!!!

You all can end the year with a healthier you to start the new year!

i like to also add if you get bored with eating the ceral get the special k waffles there is a cpl flavors, i have eaten the waffles for breakfast 2 and 2 tablesspoons of light syrup which it shows that and have ceral one morning or waffle then lunch have the protien shake i love the choc flav best, and later on  in the day i have a yoplait yogurt light many diff flav and so good hope this helps someone. and remember lots of walking and water, have a wonderful day everyone

hi maria,  i know losing weight is hard but the only way to really drop the weight is persistence. yes the special k plan does work. they suggest you replace two meals with either a bowl of cereal or one of their meal bars or shake. you dont have to be strict about it, just stick to it the best that you can. if it is easier start replacing just your snacks with special k snack bars and fruit. after a few weeks replace your breakfast with a bowl of the cereal. after you get use to that try replacing either your lunch or dinner with cereal or a cereal bar. that combined with exercise should help you drop the weight. how much weight are you trying to lose anyway? if you would like any more advice or someone to talk to i would be happy to help. you can im me on yahoo at adabekka. or email if you want. good luck.

This is a prime example of what concerns me with personal trainers. Extra
protein by way of "protein powders & bars' etc can be very harmful to people.
Gout, Kidney stones, arthritis etc can all become worse...
My client list is really long right now because of people coming in with
digestive issues, bloating, gas, heart burn, low energy etc. They're frustrated
because they want to lose weight and are being told to "eat more protein and
you'll build muscle and speed up your metabolism".
Unfortunately metabolism is set and it only declines as we age.
I really don't mean to be harsh I'm just trying to help people prevent injury.

Try to stop eating period before bed.  My trainer told me that as my metabolism
rises, I will start burning more energy.  This has started to work for me.  I
have increased my protein intake.  He has me on a strict diet.  40% protein, 40%
Carbs, 20% fat. I was 230lb and for my height I should be 170lb.  I lost 23 lbs
so far and I eat like a pig.  Okay it felt like I was eating like a pig.  He
upped my calories to 2300 and added 600 more calories on my workout days.  The
600 he said is needed to burn off during the workout.  I do what Alida says, eat
smaller meals more often.  I have protein drinks with me at all times.

Rather than fighting the urge write it down and ask yourself (why am I craving this? is it a habit? is it boredom? is it anxiety? am I depressed, angry, emotional, happy, etc.?).
Learning to identify the emotional reasons behind the cravings will help create awareness. Once you are aware of the triggers you can find healthy substitutions (e.g. deep breathing, altoids, exercize, remind yourself why you quit and be flexible).
Addictions (let it be food, drugs, cigarettes) are hard to break but awareness and persistance can help...

Get the Nicoderm CQ, it really works , the power to calm the power to quit,  and it's alot easier than trying to fight the urges.  this gets you past all of these emotions. and it works. My husband and I used to smoke 3 packs a day.  the Nicoderm CQ helped us quit without the cravings.

Keeps me full and feeling good for hrs on
Have been drinking plenty water ,not guzzling it cuz I am never that thirty unless its 110 degrees out here in Texas,instead of sipping sugar drinks I drink water
I also started liking the Snapple drink packets to my water

I started smoking when I was 10,my mom would send me to get cigs at store
for her,she smoked around me,so I guess I caught on to it       til 12years
later I decided to quit
I was working out with Denise Austin TV show fitness trainer daily,losing
weight feeling great,and I had all this energy but I didn't feel I had lung
capacity to breathe to do high energy aerobics
So I decided to quit,seeing how my mother never took good care of herself,..
.and if I CAN do it Anyone can!!!!!...chewed a lot of gum
I always felt working out helps with my Will Power Sooooooo much!!!!!!!!!
