Hello,
I was able to get all of my special k products from super target. The shakes,
protein waters, and shakes are in the aisles near the pharmacy.

i know this is a special k chat but i believe we have to incorprate other
healthy stuff into our diet! I buy body fortress whey protein. You can find it
at walmart and it comes in many different flavors! I use 1 cup low fat milk or 1
cup water and 1 scoop protein powder Stir or shake in a shaker( from walmart)
eat a piece of fruit with it and you good to go!

I bought my shakes at the Walmart super center, and I have also noticed Giant
carries them. Good luck in finding them because they do taste good. The colder
the better.

I got the protein shakes at Walmart for about $5.00 for bottles.  I live in
Alaska, so it might be more expensive here.  I got the milk chocolate and the
strawberry; they're really good.

Robin-   Instead of low fat milk, I use powdered milk. JUST measure it into the
cup and shake, I experiment my shake with frozen fruit (which I have cut up),
dry milk, stevia (if needed), dash of vanilla extract, drop of light olive oil,
spray of pam, and some ice and the shake is excellent, You can also use powdered
chocolate (no sugar), stevia, dry milk, water, ice, drop of light olive oil and
spray of pamLaura

I know someone who lost a lot of weight and went from fat to really buff on that
whey protien. But he also excercised a lot. Does it taste good and does it give
you the energy to do all that excercise?

Laura, I am not sure I would be so motivated to add a spray of Pam into a
protein shake.  The thought of adding anything oily other than flax oil would,
it seems to me, make that milk, liquid or powdered, get a little yucky.   If you
check Pam out,  you will find that in addition to oil, it also has phosphated
mono and diglycerides, dimethylpolysiloxane and of course, some type of
propellant.  Given they also recommend you not inhale the pam spray, or spray it
near flames (it will blow...and blow badly) - I think I will pass on Pam.

Powdered milk (e.g. Carnation Instant) already contains 12 g of sugar in 1/3 cup
of powder (makes a cup of milk) and also palmitatie, which is used to replace
Vitamin A for that which is lost by removing the fat of the milk.  It is also
used to make skin care products.  Again...for a more "natural" shake... just
water is good.

Additionally, you mentioned "whey protein."  WHICH whey protein?  There are
seven grades of whey protein, and those lower on the scale are used for animal
feed.  The best grade (7) you can't get in the US, unless you know where to look
for it.

I never thought adding milk of any form, regular, low fat, no fat,
powdered...etc., is also something I would not like in my protein shake.  I
prefer just water, ice, and high grade whey protein powder.   The only thing I
did like in your shake was fruit and stevia for sweetning...and for that I would
prefer agava....it is not as harsh.

So... let's all enjoy those protein shakes as a meal replacement, shall we?  I
like chocolate, myself, and not a chocolate-flavored chocolate, but real, dark
chocolate.  YUMMY!

Connie   The Pam has lecithin in it and that binds the shake when you use powder

Jim-   The Pam is used for the lecithin that is in it. It binds the powders
making it a thicker shake. I DO AGREE that Pam will set the home on fire if you
spray by the stove. I spray in the sink.   If you are talking about great grade
of protein, I was able to use rice protein but I get that from a chiropracter in
town and it is really expensive, Major problem good grade rice /whey protein are
not thickbut powdery like in the shakes
