Susan,
Yes, I meant drags, wears out the bottom before he should. I was told by his PT that it was a depth perception thing. That he does this due to the fact that he is afraid that when he does pick his feet up in a full step, that he will fall and that when he does take full steps that he takes long and wider steps he watches his feet and almost stomps, like he is trying to hear the step to make sure he is hitting the floor. I have noticed that if he doesn't watch his feet when I make him walk the yard with me, he will trip over little Items such as one of his brothers toy cars. Heck, he trips over bigger items.
When he rides a bike, he always watches the front tire, has had many flats for not watching what he is running over on the street. HA
Anyhow,
Robin

Hi RobinI noticed you said that Chris "scoots his feet". I've not heard of that expression before. Do you mean he drags/scrapes his feet along the ground? Shannon does that all the time but I thought it was a behavioural thing. Do you think there is a physical reason?Susan UK
