Another thing comes to mind: after practicing the desensitization
routine for a while, I actually came to *enjoy* a slight mild sensation
of anxiety. I guess I began to associate it with growth and a sense of
new positive things. And that was way cool, because then the practice
became a life habit (aside from a few periods of retreat, as is normal
in these things).
Hopefully you too will get a similar sensation. Someone once told me
that anxiety and excitement are the same emotion, just with two
different interpretations. I believe it.
