Re: Love Your Enemies - UziYaH   Message List

Peace Family,

This is an issue heavy on my heart of late.

Yeshua/Jesus based his entire ministry on the principles of the kingdom of God being demonstrated on earth. “…Thy kingdom come on earth as it is in heaven.” At the beginning of his ministry, Yeshua had announced that the kingdom of God was present.

“Now after John was arrested and put in prison, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the good news of the kingdom of God, and saying, The [appointed period of] time is fulfilled (completed), and the kingdom of God is at hand; repent and believe the good news.” (Mark 1:14-15)

Wisdom is validated by her children. Yeshua demonstrated the ever-present power of the kingdom through his own deeds and actions of forgiveness and healing.

“And if by God’s spirit I am healing the insane, then the kingdom of God has come to you.” - Mt. 12:28, Aramaic Peshitta text, errico translation. (see also lk. 7:18-23.)

He spoke from a platform of love being the key ingredient needed to manifest God’s kingdom within us. His true followers understand that ‘love your enemies’ is not a form of ‘introverted aggression’, but a courageous expression that was to transform the hearts and minds of nations everywhere.

“It is the wisdom of love in action through human beings that expresses God’s kingdom on earth.” (The Message of Matthew, Rocco A. Errico, pg. A - 19)

The Hebrew understanding of the word ‘love’, as used here, comes from the meaning ‘to warm’, ‘to be well disposed toward.”
The words and life and wisdom of Yeshua always reflected the wisdom of Abraham, Moses and Solomon. Solomon said,

“If your enemy is hungry give him bread to eat; and if he is thirsty, give him water to drink: for doing so, you will heap coals of fire upon his head, and the Lord will reward you.” Proverbs 25:21-22.)

Those harboring the mind-set, the Anointed Mind of Yeshua, …have no enemies. They, those with the Christed Mind of Yeshua, understand the concept of, “Judge not that ye be not judged, for as you judge others, so ye will be judged’. They understand that difficult people in difficult, man made situations, exist for our soul growth and development, as allowed by Father. Only as we become one with Yeshua as he became One with the Father, .. Can we begin to facilitate the kingdom of heaven on earth, …for which Yeshua prayed, lived and died. This can only happen as we take up ‘our’ cross and follow the path, the Way he created for us through his example.

Anything less is but demonic deceptions created within the canyons of our carnal minds.

In the Light,

Howard
