We now have her on Hubbard Senior Feed and a couple
pounds of rice bran (Maxi-Glo) per day and switched to
a very high quality hay. She has gained wonderfully-
you can't even see her ribs anymore! I think she
still needs to gain a bit- she's about 15 hh and
weighs 916 right now but she looks tons better than
she did. Her bald patches also grew in- what a weird
symptom. Rice bran seems to have done the trick. Oh,
as for whole oats- I cautiously share this as I don't
want to criticize SLE- when we put all of our horses
on it, they all lost weight and lots of it quickly.
We now have them all on Hubbard feeds and high quality
hay except for the minis who maintain health and
weight on minerals and high quality hay.

Kelli, I feel you are correct in thinking this horse has an ulcer. I think dealing with the ulcer is the place to start, Silver Lining #29 LCR and #24 Immune....
