Concerning: Breast Implant Registry for Exposed Offspring who
have been exposed to Silicone Breast Implants & Saline Breast Implants
It has been brought to my attention that from a research standpoint, the two
types of implants should be analyzed separately. Therefore mothers completing
the questionnaire on www.birthdefects. org should DEFINITELY INDICATE whether
they had saline and/or silicone implants. Disclose ALL known information
possible in the data that you submit. This will be beneficial to those who
analyze all data.

At this time Birth Defect Research for Children, Inc is requesting 100 cases IN
EACH EXPOSURE GROUP (100 cases silicone; 100 cases saline). When the data is in
and this organization were to note similar findings in each group, that might
give important clues about the chemical adjuvancy of the breast implants, and
about silicone in the body.

Also, please submit ALL information if your breast implants were found to have
platinum/platinum excesses and you/your offspring are platinum positive. Also
include if you/your offspring have been genetically tested, like HLA-typed and
so forth...please include your results if known.
