Please send this out to your e-mail list.
A coalition of women's health and consumer's groups is planning a media event in Washington, D.C. tentatively set to be held at the National Press Club on October 27th. This coalition would like to bring four or five children with their Mothers to be presenters at this event to ask for more research on implants before the FDA approves these devices as safe. Additionally the coalition would like to receive 30 to 40 testimonies on the health of children born to implanted mothers. Please submit a paragraph no later than Oct. 9th, 2006 with the following information: City and state where you live, date that you were implanted, what type of implant you had/have (silicone, saline, textured, polyurethane covered, double-lumen, etc.), date of birth of your child/children, symptoms and diagnoses that developed after implantation. Please send your paragraphs to keeling.m@worldnet.att.net no later than Oct. 9th, 2006. Please also start writing your testimony that you would like to present to the media, Congress, or the FDA should you be given the opportunity with a time-line. Include any diagnoses you had before implantation, what you noticed at the birth of your child, what symtoms developed for both you and your child/children. I have a check-list of symptoms and diagnoses titled "Check if you have been diagnosed with any of the following after implantation – exclude any condition what existed before implantation" that I can send you if you need an easy way to organize your testimony on symptoms and diagnoses. In addition we are in the process of providing a check-list of known side effects of the chemotherapy drug Cisplatin which contains platinum. While we can't say that the platinum in Cisplatin is the same or similar to the platinum that the manufacturers now admit leak from silicone implants, some implanted women are reporting that their children's symptoms are similar to the well-documented side effects of cisplatin. If you are unable to travel but would like to be a presenter, you may be able to make a videotape and submit it.Marlene KeelingChemically Associated Neurological Disorders (CANDO)P.O.
