We would attend a picnic/information giving day if we were available-life just seems manic at the moment. I think it is a shame to stop meetings but can understand that with attendance low it may not be the best way to target expectant mums to inform them of the joys of home birth!

Hi All,
The last few Home Birth Group meetings have been poorly attended so I have been thinking about stopping them but first thought I would consult you first. I was thinking about just putting a notice on the website stating that we will organise a group meeting if there is demand for it and that we will also try to make it on a date and time convenient for those who want to attend. What do you think?
I have recently sent-out flyers to all Playgroups and I regularly advertise the group with the Jessop Wing, NCT, Netmums and Sheffield Forum so I really don't know how else I can promote the group. I also work longer hours now so the spare time I have is precious and it feels wasteful spending 2 hours for a group meeting that hardly anybody attends.
I was also thinking about scheduling a date during the 6 weeks holiday, and putting it up on the website, for all mums who have had or/are considering a homebirth to meet, at a park somewhere in Sheffield, to have a picnic and chat about homebirth. Anybody up for it?
All thoughts on this appreciated. ....
Thanks,
Michelle.
