Public Health Grand Rounds Invites You to Participate
Dear Public Health Professionals,
Due to the recent attacks of computer worms and viruses, we are sending a
second announcement for the next Public Health Grand Rounds, "Disease,
Disaster, and Detection: Partnering with Public Health Laboratories,"
scheduled to air Friday, September 26, 2003 at 2:00 - 3:00 p.m. We invite
you to join the program either via satellite broadcast or webcast and learn
more about the role of public health laboratories in protecting the public's
health and the community partnerships that are essential to this work.
It is very important to register! The Centers for Disease Control and
Prevention and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of
Public Health provide these broadcasts FREE to all participants. To
continue this service, we must be able to measure the impact of these
programs through registration and evaluation. Registration and program
information can be found at http://www.PublicHealthGrandRounds.unc.edu.
Nearly 300 sites in 45 states have registered to receive the satellite
broadcast and you also have the option of viewing the live webcast.
Registered sites are listed at http://www.PublicHealthGrandRounds.unc.edu.
If you do not find a site near you, please contact us by emailing
grand.rounds@... or phone 919.843.9261. Remember! Your nearest
site facilitator may need a request from you before registering a viewing
site for the broadcast.
Please contact us if we can be of assistance or if you would like to make
suggestions for future programming. As always, we appreciate your support
and we look forward to providing more distance learning opportunities.
Sincerely,
Donna E. Davis, MPH
