Last week, the National Committee on Vital and Health Statistics (NCVHS)
sent a letter to the Department of Health and Human Services summarizing
its observations and recommendations resulting from hearings held on
30-31 July 2007. The letter, titled "Revisions to HIPAA transaction
standards urgently needed", can be accessed via
