The National Plan and Provider Enumeration System (NPPES) Data
Dissemination Notice was published in today's Federal Register: Volume
72, No. 103, 30 May 2007, pages 30011-30014. This Notice defines a
process by which members of the public may obtain HIPAA National
Provider Identifier (NPI) data stored in the NPPES data base. The
Notice also defines which of the many data items in the data base may be
viewed / extracted, and the conditions under which such extractions are
permitted.

Since the Notice is only four pages long, I've attached it for
convenience. Also attached are some CMS FAQ's relating to the Notice.
