WEDI NPI READINESS SURVEY

THIS SURVEY WILL CLOSE FRIDAY, APRIL 13^th

At the request of the National Committee on Vital and Health Statistics (NCVHS)... WEDI has prepared a follow up survey to the January 2007 Readiness Survey in order to measure the health care industry's progress toward meeting the May 23, 2007 NPI implementation deadline.  To ensure complete anonymity we have removed any questions that could be used to identify the respondents. Please be assured that no NPI enforcement or punitive action will result from participating in this survey.

While NPI affects all the HIPAA standard transactions, this survey focuses heavily on NPI readiness for claims and claim payment.  Previous surveys indicated the majority of everyone's work effort has focused on claims first. It is extremely important that you complete all the questions so we can obtain an accurate assessment of everyone's NPI readiness.  If you are a health care entity that engages in multiple categories contained in this survey (Health Plan, Health Care Provider, and clearinghouse), please answer the survey for each category applicable to your organization.
