NOTICE

The following version 005010 Type 3 Technical Report (TR3) [formerly
known as Implementation Guide (IG)] Informational Forums are scheduled
to be held at X12's September, 2006, Trimester Meeting in Boston,
Massachusetts.

Both of these documents are updated versions of documents of the same
titles that were incorporated in the September, 2005, Notice of Proposed
Rule Making (NPRM) for HIPAA Claims Attachments. These updated versions
are planned to be proposed to CMS for use in a Final HIPAA Claims
Attachments Rule.

These Informational Forums provide a venue for authors of each of the
listed TR3's to orally respond to comments received during draft TR3
public comment periods. Comments on both of the documents listed may
continue to be submitted until 5:00 p.m. Eastern time on Wednesday, 30
August.

In preparation for the Informational Forums, written responses to public
comments will be posted to each TR3's on-line conference [ see
www.wpc-edi.com/conferences/tg2/implementationguides ] at least 15 days
prior to the corresponding Informational Forum. Each Informational
Forum is the final X12 opportunity to comment on a draft TR3 -- but
comments are generally limited to only those regarding modifications
generated as a consequence of the received public comments.

Participation at one or both of these Informational Forums is open to
anybody with payment of one applicable X12 Trimester Meeting fee
[$0.00 for employees of X12 members].
