Call for Papers for

November NPI Pre Conference Industry Forum

 

Workgroup for Electronic Data Interchange (WEDI) National Provider Identifier Outreach Initiative (NPIOI) will host a 1-day NPI Industry Forum November 6, 2006, at the Hyatt Regency Phoenix at Civic Plaza in Phoenix, AZ. WEDI NPIOI is currently seeking proposals for educational programs that address:

 

Ø      Cross walking. Strategies for matching and cross walking the NPI to health plan legacy identifiers to ensure proper health plan operations and provider reimbursement.

 

Ø      Testing. Business practices and communication effected.

 

Ø      Information Exchange between trading partners, providers, health plans and clearinghouses.

 

Ø      X12N 835 and the impact of the NPI.

 

Ø      Contingency planning if dates are not met by payers or providers.

 

Ø      Other issues you propose to address at the November NPI Industry Forum:

The WEDI NPIOI Conferences Sub Workgroup is especially looking for presentations that offer advanced level instruction and case studies. The NPIOI Conferences SWG will review all proposals that are submitted, whether they address these specific points, or address other NPI issues you feel are important to the industry. Please submit your 1-page proposal no later than September 15, 2006, to Ann Marie Railing at amrailing@... complete with:

 

1.       Proposed session title

2.       Proposed description to include session objectives and goals (5-7 sentences), and

3.       Potential faculty and their contact information

 

Due to the large number of submissions anticipated, please follow the above guidelines in order to be considered. The WEDI NPIOI Conferences Sub Workgroup will review the submissions and identify those that best match our theme and audience interests. We look forward to receiving your session submissions and seeing you in Fairfax this August.
