Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) now have five papers in its HIPAA Security Educational Paper Series. 

The papers currently available:

Security 101 for Covered Entities

Security Standards-Administrative Safeguards

Security Standards – Physical Safeguards

Security Standards-Technical Safeguards

Security Standards-Organizational, Policies and Procedures and Documentation Requirements

Additional papers are planned for the HIPAA Security Educational Paper Series and will be posted to the CMS HIPAA Resource website when they become available.
