As many of you may be aware, the Interim Final Rule for Civil Money
Penalties is presently set to expire on 16 September. Late last week,
the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) completed their review of a
new rule:

Procedures for Investigations, Imposition of Penalties, and
Hearings; Extension of Expiration Date
STAGE: Final Rule ECONOMICALLY SIGNIFICANT: No
RECEIVED: 08/09/2004 LEGAL DEADLINE: None
COMPLETED: 09/10/2004 Consistent w/no change

This rule is now scheduled for publication in the Federal Register on
Wednesday, 15 September.
