We are pleased to announce the following enhancements have been made to
the Remittance Advice Remark Code maintenance process.

We have implemented a webboard process that will allow interested
parties to post comments related to any request under consideration.
This will help ensure that all business needs and viewpoints are
considered when decisions are made. This webboard process allows us to
post decisions for review before publication of a new version of the
list. We will also post any questions we have about a request to this
webboard. We have received positive feedback about these features and
invite everyone to review pending requests and their associated
responses regularly.

In addition, we have worked with Washington Publishing Company to create
a broadcast service. You may visit our web page to sign up for a
broadcast service that will announce two events in the REMARK
maintenance process. Announcements will be sent when a new version of
the list is published and when decisions about pending requests are
posted.

To sign up for the service, go to www.wpc-edi.com , click on the HIPAA
link, the code list link, and the view code lists link, then select the
Remittance Advice Remark Code List from the drop-down menu. Finally,
select the Announcements link to find the sign-up option.
