Join an AAEM/RSA Committee!!

Applications are currently being accepted for the AAEM Resident and Student Association (AAEM/RSA) Committees.  Become more involved in organized medicine - we have room for all interests!  

Please go to http://www.aaemrsa.org/opportunities/rsa-committees.php and fill out a committee form, attach a copy of your CV (required) and photo (optional) and add a short paragraph stating why you would like to join a particular committee.  We will be accepting nomination forms until July 31, 2009, at midnight CST.

Committee Descriptions:
Advocacy Committee:  Healthcare reform is here!  Committee members develop policy statements, communicate with AAEM/RSA members about critical issues in emergency medicine and interact with the AAEM Government and National Affairs Committee.  The Advocacy Committee also oversees the AAEM Career Network.

Communications Committee:  Committee members organize the newly re-designed AAEM/RSA website, Facebook page and write the monthly broadcast emails for AAEM/RSA.  The Communications Committee develops content for the RSA portion of AAEM's newsletter, "Common Sense" and the AAEM/RSA e-newsletter, "Modern Resident."

Education Committee:  Plans and organizes the resident and student educational track at the 16th Annual AAEM Scientific Assembly, February 15-17, 2010, in Las Vegas, NV, and the Medical Student Symposia that occur around the country.

Membership Committee:  Helps to promote our mission by increasing AAEM/RSA membership through recruitment, developing valuable member benefits and communicating with residency program directors.
