This group has been created to help create a centralized communication hub for athletic trainers working in the secondary school setting in Maryland. The focus of this group will be to advance the healthcare afforded the secondary school student athlete. This group will be utilized to help give group discussion to ATC's in need of help in the creation of collaborative agreements, policy and procedure manuals, and forms, networking, and overall improved communication just within the secondary school setting. It shall be the overall mission of the SSATCMD to advance the professional position of the athletic trainer in the secondary school setting, the healthcare provided to secondary school athletes and improve the numbers of such individuals in this setting through communication, commitment, and collaboration.
