SIN stands for Strength In Numbers. We are a volunteer-based network of social groups for HIV+ gay men. The goal of SIN is to empower poz guys to build better, healthier relationships and learn more about HIV related issues from each other as peers.

**** BEST PRACTICES FOR MESSAGE POSTING **** (*)

PLEASE,:

1) KEEP IT CLEAN (profanity is unnecessary on this site).

2) BE RESPECTFUL OF OTHER MEMBERS.

3) NO BUSINESS/PRODUCT SOLICITATIONS (If you are involved in an endeavor that is relevant and beneficial to SIN NYC members, that's fine)

4) NO POSTS IN SEARCH OF DATES OR "BOOTY CALLS" (We can recommend plenty of great sites for this). Its just not what this online space is for. Posts looking for friendship and support strongly encouraged.

5) KEEP MESSAGES RELEVANT to this group and to the HIV+ community.

6) NO HEAVY RELIGION OR UNRELATED POLITICS. Don't post anything advocating for a particular political party or candidate

7) FOR EMAIL REPLIES, PLEASE KEEP YOUR TRIGGER-FINGER OFF "REPLY ALL" and first ask yourself, "Is this a personal message that I should send directly to the the author or will this message benefit the entire group?"

8) BE THERE FOR EACH OTHER (however you see fit). After all, that's what SIN NYC is for.

(*) These guidelines are a work in progress to keep a safe, respectful and friendly online space for members. Suggestions for "best practices" are welcome. The approval of messages are at the discretion of the moderators.
