Description

“WE” are glad you’ve found us! Self Harm Ends Anonymous is a closed woman’s 12 Step e-Mail, meeting, & support group for self harm, mutilation, cutting, injury, self (& other) abuse, addicts only. We’ve adopted the 12 Steps & 12 Traditions program of recovery from Alcoholics and Self Mutilators Anonymous. New members are welcomed. We share our experience, strength and hope to solve our common problem & help others.

Requirement for membership is a desire to stop physical self harm with added bylaw encouraging meeting & group participation. We recognize stopping (all forms of) physical self harm as a beginning, to include secondary characteristics. Service positions are available & currently there's two ongoing weekly On-Topic e-Meetings. Members may post On & Off-Topics 24/7. We feature a G-Rated secure multi-option meeting & chat room. Many of us get & give support & enjoy keeping in touch using instant messenger services :)

We ask that members NOT post or use descriptive graphic terms of self injury or destructive behaviors please! We practice working the Program which is one of action, & utilize recovery tools including our PC's. It often helps to reveal secrets that can keep us sick & to discover underlying factors that trigger self harm episodes & avert them. If a conflict develops, we seek peaceful resolution through practicing 12 Step Principles over personalities. Our aim is to value & treat one another with equal dignity, kindness & respect. Flaming & abusive behavior is not tolerated. We maintain the use of appropriate language & a safe as possible environment facilitating recovery.

We identify & treat physical self harm as an ADDICTION.
While there’s NO cure for addiction (yet,) by actively following the suggestions of the Program and with positive group support many of us DO recover. We provide often needed long term support for maintaining abstinence. We live in the solution one day at a time. "ODAAT"
