This is the general information resource & exchange, picture sharing, support group for the "South Carolina HIV/STD Conference", an annual event.

WHO IS THIS GROUP FOR?
Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants, Nurses, Clinicians, HIV/STD Educators. Social Workers, Health Professionals, Service Providers, Teachers, Students, People Living With HIV and All Interested Persons.

CONFERENCE GOALS
To facilitate an environment in which a networking exchange fosters:
* Learning of new developments in HIV/STD prevention, care & treatment;
* Discuss cutting-edge strategies & applications responsive to needs of individuals & communities;
* The discovery of current & emerging policy issues & trends & their relationship to education, prevention & care;
* The development of skills needed to address the multi-dimensional factors influencing behavior & risk reduction efforts;
* The exchange of personal & community resources for Professional & lay caregivers.

OBJECTIVES
Following the conference, participants will be able to:
* Describe an appropriate HIV/STD prevention method for at least one risky behavior, target population, or emerging trend in their community;
* Identify & explain at least 2 new effective interventions;
* Identify at least 2 strategies to enhance comprehensive HIV and/or STD care, including education, counseling, screening, & treatment;
* Identify at least 2 challenges to the integration of prevention, intervention, clinical services & resources that support them.
