Good point about looking for dairy in the burgers. And cheese that has casein in it isn't vegetarian either. I've made the mistake of buying some that claimed to be vegetarian and then when I got it home and looked closely at the ingredients, discovered casein in the list of ingredients.

If you prefer to eat vegan, make sure to ask about dairy in the black bean burgers. Morningstar and Boca both have some that contain cheese.

Some Subways offer the Veggie Max which is basically like a veggie burger pattie. Or at any location, you can just get the regular veggie sandwich which is just a regular subway sandwich, sans meat, with whatever fresh veggies you like on it. They're pretty cheap - $2 something for a 6 inch and $4 something for a foot-long.
Any sandwich restaurant offers veggie sandwiches - Quiznos, Blimpies, Which Wich, Fireman's, etc. I personally love the Quiznos one the best, but you have to make sure you tell them no cheese (unless you want cheese). mmm mmm toastly, LOL
