Changing the subject just a tad, does anyone besides me feel it's unfair to be charged extra for things like cheese, chicken or shrimp (say, on a salad), but then not to get a price reduction when it's included in the price but you ask them to take it off?

| Hi all. TGIFriday's no longer offers the gardenburger, however Chili's does offer a black bean burger substitute (Morningstar Farms spicy black bean patty) on salads (in lieu of chicken, beef, etc) and as a substitute for a beef burger. I had a great soy meatloaf dish at Green awhile back. The Gardenburger veggie burger at Burger King is a little bland but its nice that a major fast food chain actually has a vegetarian substitute. It's an odd thing, when your body says no and your mind and your spirit say yes. It's frightening and empowering and clarifying and beautiful all at once. It was the past year of my life, shortened into a span of 26.2 arduous miles. It was the culmination of experiences, the knowledge that my body can be pushed past its breaking point, just like my heart. In both instances, when you come to the end of yourself, God's grace is all that sustains. And it is enough. --Kristin Armstrong |
