BTW, watch out for La Hacienda. We went there for dinner, and I was told that everything was made with lard. As I'm happily munching tortilla chips, he says "even those chips are cooked in it". GROSS and I was pretty upset about it. So, if you're vegetarian watch out.
It is hard to go totally vegan because of hidden ingredients - like lard in beans in some restaurants, etc.
Was just at HEB - found a canned chili sauce (just the sauce) but it had "reduced beef fat" - ewwwww - guess I will have to continue to make it from scratch.
