WELCOME friend!! We are both San Antonio HELP, an ASHA (American Social Health Association) sponsored support group, and San Antonio Friends, an independent social group; both groups are explicitly and exclusively for PWH - People With HSV (Herpes Simplex Virus) or HPV (Human Papilloma Virus) of any type in the San Antonio and surrounding areas. We are not medical or legal professionals; we are a member led support/social group. The purpose of this group is to give out support, share our knowledge and keep people informed of upcoming events in and around the area.



Membership to our group must be approved. Once you request to join, you will be sent an email from the group moderator providing you with our terms of membership in an attachment. Open the document and reply as requested to begin the approval process. We take our members privacy and safety seriously. When joining the group, we recommend that you not use your last name in your Yahoo ID or in your Yahoo account information. Online caution is always wise.



Our members host several events each month including a quarterly Support Meeting, group Happy Hour, Newcomers Luncheon, movies, birthdays, tubing and many more (check our Calendar for more details). Individuals are encouraged to schedule their own group activities, and to use this group to provide notice to other members. After you become part of our family you’ll have different options regarding email receipt; we recommend “individual emails” since this is how we communicate last minute changes or addition of events as well as the member banter back and forth. It’s informative and fun. If you are looking to meet other people in San Antonio that understand what you’re going through and will love you without judgment, then this is the right place for you.
