TACA is meeting this Saturday, May 16th, and our topic is Sensory Integration.
Our speaker is Annette Hatter, OTR/L who has tons of experience with ASD
kids. She will focus on answering the following questions for us. What is
sensory integration? How can we use sensory strategies to help children
function happily in the home and school setting? How can we use sensory
activities to enhance relationships and learning?

Annette Hatter is an occupational therapist specializing in working with
children on the autism spectrum and children with sensory processing
dysfunction. Annette has been practicing in pediatrics for 17 years. She
is certified in Sensory Integration and is Level III in DIR Certification.
Annette has her own practice and works with a multidisciplinary team
focusing on each child's individual strengths and challenges as well as
the whole family. She has a special interest in sensory integration and
supporting a child's sensory-regulatory needs in order to move him/her
up to higher developmental levels and support his ability to build
strong relationships with the people he or she loves.
